Owner & Veterinarian

I have been the Owner of Ina Road Animal Hospital since March 2013 and received my DVM from Colorado State University in 1996. I followed my family to Tucson in 2002 and never left. My happiest moment is when a patient in the hospital feels well enough and safe enough to eat. I enjoy all the variety of general practice and keeping up on the latest updates in veterinary medicine. I am a member of the AVMA, Southern Arizona VMA, Arizona VMA, and VIN. My husband and I live with our two dogs, and we enjoy traveling, camping, and hiking.

Associate Veterinarian

I am an Associate Veterinarian and started at this practice about two years ago. Originally, I hail from Gilbert, Arizona. After completing my undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona, I pursued my dream of becoming a veterinarian at Oregon State University. My path into the field was an extension of my lifelong love for animals. I have a particular interest in diagnostic ultrasounds; there is something rewarding about using technology to understand what is going on inside an animal and provide the best care possible. Outside of work, my girlfriend and I share our home with three dogs and three cats. We are both proud University of Arizona alumni, and on weekends you will find me out on the golf course.

Associate Veterinarian

I recently joined Ina Road Animal Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian, and I am thrilled to be here. My journey to veterinary medicine began with an internship at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Fort Collins, where I earned my B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University. I then spent two years with the veterinary team at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga before starting veterinary school here in Tucson. I earned my DVM from the University of Arizona (Bear Down!) and have been a permanent Tucson resident ever since. Animals have always been an essential part of my life, whether they are fluffy with tails or smooth with scales. Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, horseback riding, video games, and spending time with my big orange cat, Ned.

I am Cindy, and I have a deep affection for my role at Ina Road Animal Hospital. From a young age, I knew that my path was meant to be intertwined with animals. My educational journey provided me with numerous chances to engage with them, from interning at a zoo to working at a horse center. These experiences ultimately guided me to become a part of the Ina Road Animal Hospital family. In my personal life, I am proud to have three little flower girls named Lilly, Violet, and Dahlia. They bring joy and color to my world. I also have a dog named Stitch. I have been a member of the Ina Road Animal Hospital team since July 2002, and every day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of animals and their human companions.

Britt is the Lead Veterinary Technician at Ina Road Animal Hospital and a proud Arizona native. Seeking to expand her horizons beyond her hometown, Britt moved to Tucson, where she has found joy in the city's stunning nature and diverse wildlife. From a young age, Britt cherished the companionship of animals, a passion that naturally guided her into the veterinary field. She finds immense satisfaction in connecting with animals through compassion and care. For Britt, witnessing a pet's journey from youth to their senior years is deeply rewarding, and being an integral part of their health and recovery is a privilege she holds dear. Her dedication to the well-being of animals makes her an invaluable member of the Ina Road Animal Hospital team.

I am Nabeh, born and bred in Tucson, and I am honored to serve as the Lead Veterinary Assistant on our exceptional team. My fascination with the veterinary field has been a lifelong passion, and I take immense pride in lending a voice to those who cannot communicate in our language. I started working here at Ina Road in 2020. This profession has always felt like a perfect fit for me, and I genuinely cherish what I do. Even though it can be demanding at times, I cannot envision myself pursuing any other path. Beyond the clinic, my heart is filled with love for my three fur babies. Honey and Homefry, my two cats, hold a special place in my life, and my pitty baby, Rose, is co-parented by me.

I am Danielle, a certified veterinary technician and proud shift lead at Ina Road Animal Hospital. For the past seven years I have been dedicated to this team. Tucson is my hometown, and in 2012 I earned my AAS in Veterinary Technology. It was during my internship at Ina Road that I felt an undeniable connection with the team and chose to make it my professional home. I started working here at Ina Road in 2016. The confirmation that I am in the right profession comes from my unwavering passion for working with animals. My job satisfaction stems from being able to assist both pets and their caring owners in times of need. When I am not at the hospital, my world revolves around spending quality time with my two beloved daughters and my trusty canine companion, Pebbles.

Lead Veterinary Assistant

I am Kayla, a Tucson native, born and raised. Throughout my time in school I had many interests, but animals have always been my biggest passion. I started my journey at Ina Road Animal Hospital as a receptionist and have worked my way up to Lead Veterinary Assistant. I am incredibly thankful for all the knowledge and experience I have gained here. My inspiration for caring for animals came from rescuing my soul-dog, Annabelle, when I was a young teenager. She taught me so much about what it means to take care of one another, and I would not be the person I am today without her. I knew I was in the right profession when I would come home feeling like I made a difference in at least one pet's life each day. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at home with my dog, Annabelle, and my two cats, Luna and Shiro, who constantly keep me on my toes.

I am Stephen, a certified veterinary technician who became part of this incredible team back in 2004. Over the years I have accumulated a wealth of experience, shaping me into a highly skilled and knowledgeable member of our family. Beyond my professional role, my interests and hobbies span a diverse spectrum. I hold certifications as a remote pilot and drone pilot, fueling my love for capturing unique perspectives through photography. My passions extend to outdoor pursuits like mountain biking, backpacking, and rock climbing. Soccer is both a coaching commitment and a personal pastime, a sport I both teach and play with passion. My life is most significantly enriched by my role as a devoted husband and a father of two wonderful souls, and I carry a mischievous sense of humor, often playing pranks and showcasing my wicked Gollum impersonations.

I am Kellie, and I have been a proud member of the Ina Road team since October 2017. Though I was born in Colorado, Tucson has been my home for the majority of my life. I graduated from PMI in 2016, a pivotal step in my journey. Animals have always held a special place in my heart. It was not until I welcomed my first dog into my life that I felt an undeniable pull toward the world of veterinary medicine. An emergency situation involving my dog prompted me to equip myself with the skills to handle such scenarios, which led me to pursue education in caring for pets. Even on challenging days, I hold my title as a CVT with immense pride. Beyond my professional life, I share my world with two dogs and four cats. I am also an artist, with animals being my favorite subjects to paint.

I am Barbara Devine. Though I hail from the bustling streets of New York City, my love for animals has been a constant presence in my life. I pursued a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology at St. John's University. After a fulfilling career as a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration, I decided to heed my lifelong passion for animals. In 2007 I stepped into the world of veterinary care and have not looked back since. My journey led me to Arizona in 2001, and I started working here at Ina Road Animal Hospital in 2013. I derive immense satisfaction from working with animals each day. Beyond my role as a technician, I also groom horses and share my expertise in dog obedience. When I am not tending to animals, you can find me relishing time with my husband of 28 years, running, painting, and playing the drums and guitar.

I am Frank Cortes, a certified veterinary technician at Ina Road Animal Hospital, where I have been since 2021. I have spent most of my life here in Tucson, Arizona, completing my education in this vibrant city, including my graduation from the University of Arizona. Driven by my affection for animals and the urge to create a positive impact, I chose to pursue a career in the veterinary field. It became clear to me that I had found my true calling when I began experiencing more days filled with genuine happiness in my work. When I am not at the hospital, I am an avid traveler. I have explored countless breathtaking destinations around the world, and among my favorites are Japan and Italy, two places that have left a lasting impression on me.

Celina Vidal

Veterinary Technician

I am Celina Vidal, and I am thrilled to be a Veterinary Technician here at Ina Road Animal Hospital. I am a Tucson native, born and raised right here. Currently, I am enrolled at Pima Community College, pursuing my certificate in Veterinary Technology and honing my skills in the field. I started working here at Ina Road in 2024. My love for animals has been with me since childhood. Helping animals through their visits and ensuring they have the best possible experience is truly fulfilling for me. The moment I knew I was in the right profession was during my first clinical internship, a challenging yet exhilarating experience that fueled my excitement for the future. Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my friends and family and love exploring new places.

I am Barbara Martinez, a Veterinary Assistant who has proudly contributed to the Ina Road team since 1997. After pursuing my education in California, I returned to my beloved Tucson due to my affection for the desert environment and climate. Before venturing into vet assisting, I dedicated my time as a Special Education Teacher, but my heart's desire had always been to care for pets in the veterinary field. My journey at Ina Road Animal Hospital across all these years has been deeply fulfilling. The people I work with are more than just colleagues; they are like family to me. Engaging with clients and tending to their pets brings immense reward and joy. When I am not at the hospital, I relish moments spent with my husband and our golden retrievers.

I am Rhonda, a Veterinary Assistant at Ina Road Animal Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. My Veterinary Assistant Certification was earned from Pima Medical Institute in 2016. Though originally from Cleveland, Ohio, the allure of Tucson led me to make a significant change in 2012, escaping the frigid winters. I started working here at Ina Road in 2018. Having spent years in the banking industry, I opted for a career shift into veterinary care driven by my love for animals and my desire to make a positive impact. My role as a voice and advocate for animals is what I cherish most about my job. Beyond work, I find solace in exploring the Southwestern landscapes. My home is a haven for animals, housing seven cats, a German Shepherd, axolotls, hermit crabs, fish, and even a tarantula.

I am Cynthia Macias, a veterinary assistant at Ina Road Animal Hospital in beautiful Tucson, Arizona. My journey with this reputable veterinary practice began in 2021 when I made the move from Kansas City, Missouri to be closer to my family. My lifelong passion for animals has always been a driving force in my life. During my high school years, I had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside these incredible creatures, igniting my fascination with the veterinary industry. What brings me the most joy is playing a role in their care and having the privilege to witness their recovery and the happiness they bring. When I am not at the clinic, I am a certified scuba instructor with a profound love for exploring the underwater realm. Beyond my role at Ina Road, I am deeply committed to promoting animal welfare.

I was born in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from The Gregory School in 2019. After taking a few years off to focus on work and my horseback riding career, I recently resumed classes at Pima Community College. I have been working as a Veterinary Assistant since 2022, starting at a mobile mixed animal practice before coming to Ina Road Animal Hospital in 2023. Animals are second nature to me. I was raised by animal lovers and have not gone a day without a pet in the house. As a vet assistant, I enjoy being able to comfort animals during stressful times. My life outside of work consists of caring for my dog, horses, and many cats. I am a lifelong equestrian with a focus on rehabilitating and training racehorses for careers beyond the track, and I currently participate in 3-day eventing with my young thoroughbred, Thumper.

Veterinary Assistant

Hi, I am Maddy. I work as a Veterinary Assistant at Ina Road Animal Hospital, where I started in February 2025. I am a 2023 graduate of Liberty High School in Peoria, Arizona, where I earned my Approved Veterinary Assistant certification through West-MEC. I am currently attending the University of Arizona, pursuing a Bachelor's in Veterinary Science with a minor in Biochemistry, and plan to graduate in 2027. My goal is to attend veterinary school and earn my DVM, with hopes of working in emergency medicine or orthopedic surgery. My favorite part about working with animals is constantly learning. I love making sure each patient feels safe and cared for in a calm, low-stress environment. Outside of work, I love hiking, camping, and biking, play piano and guitar, and spend time with my dachshund, Roxie. I also volunteer with organizations like PACC, Habitat for Humanity, and the Arizona Humane Society.

I am Elissa, a Tucson native through and through. My educational journey led me to Pima Medical Institute, where I graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program in 2014. I started working here at Ina Road in 2017. The profound love I hold for animals fueled my determination to forge a career in the veterinary industry. I have gained experience in grooming, boarding, and working in a veterinary clinic. What truly resonates with me is the opportunity to encounter a diverse array of breeds and to play a role in each patient's journey, from their growth to their recovery. Beyond the clinic, I revel in moments spent with my cherished family: my husband, son, two lively pugs, and a French bulldog. Road trips, hikes, and embracing the role of a mom are among my favorite pastimes.

Client Service Representative

Hi there! My name is Amy Haas, and I am thrilled to be part of the team here at Ina Road Animal Hospital as a Client Service Representative. I started working here at Ina Road in 2023. I originally hail from a different state but decided to make Tucson my home as I embarked on the prelude to retirement in the beautiful Arizona landscape. My journey into the veterinary industry was born from a deep passion for animals and a desire to support pet families in any way I can. There is something incredibly fulfilling about being able to spend my days surrounded by our beloved furry companions. Outside of work, I am an empty nester, which means I have plenty of time to spoil my two dogs rotten, whether it is going for long walks, playing fetch in the park, or simply cuddling up on the couch.
